Coloring book of Haitian scenes
by Elizabeth Turnbull and Kristopher Battles
A coloring book of original drawings of scenes from everyday life in Haiti. Each picture has a short text telling the story of life in rural Haiti.
Elizabeth Turnbull was born and raised in Haiti. She received her BA degree from Wake Forest University, majoring in English and journalism. Her inspiration for her descriptions spring from her love of Haiti and her people.
Kristopher Battles received his BFA degree from Missouri State University in 1991. Since that time he has worked as a graphic designer, portrait and landscape painter and with several private collections. Battles has created his realistic drawings from first hand experience when he taught arts and crafts in the Mountain Maid Self Help Project.
